Great experience at all times, from pre-booking to after-trip arrangements. I used their trekking guide services to climb Mera peak, and successfully reached the summit thanks to the professionalism of the trip manager, trekking guide and climbing guide. If you are considering climbing a peak in Nepal, Exciting Nepal is the right choice. Thank you again, Subash and Shasi.

Himalayan Masters have been fantastic! I traveled solo Nepal to summit Mera peak in April 2024 and could not have had a better experience. Sandip is amazing and was so helpful in organising every aspect of our trip. Our guide Gobinda was very knowledgeable about the region and took great care of a member of the team who suffered altitude sickness. I felt completely safe throughout the trip and Gobinda made it so much fun, even when times were tough! Our porter Brindra was also incredible and helped us carry our bags to High Camp, could not have done it without him. I highly recommend trekking and climbing with Himalayan Masters, best company in Nepal!

"I traveled to Mera peak privately with Nepalnirvanatrails in mid-April 2024, taking the short route which only took 12 days in total. You need to be physically fit. You'll have a rest day at Khare (4900) for training and acclimatization. Then, you'll journey to High Camp (5800) and summit (6476) with climbing guide. I was excited to reach the Mera summit and grateful to KP for organizing everything, including the somewhat uncertain flight from Lukla, which KP managed seamlessly."

This way I would like to thank all the members of the Norvana team who were there to make my dream come true and successfully reach the top of incredible Mera peak 6476m. Our 12 days trek started by being sick but thanks to kind management it was possible to postpone the whole trek by one day with extra rest in Lukla. We were lucky enough to get an upgraded flight from plane to helicopter free of charge which added to overall experience of course. In Lukla we met our porter and hiking guide. Thanks to being aclimatised from Annapurna trek we opted for shortest Mera trek that starts with immediate altitude gain but our guide was making us going slow and careful just in case anyways. Along the way to Mera base camp we stayed in simple huts as are very common accross Everest or Annap. regions, so be ready for very cold to freezing temperatures, also inside, there is usually common rooms heated between 5-8pm each day but otherwise there s no heating, so bring very good sleeping bags as for any serious expedition. We had 3 meals included which we enriched by extra food and sweets here and there, wifi is available as well for extra charge ( like 15€), shower also available for extra charge (7€) but again pls expect bucket of warm water not your regular shower at those altitudes. What could be perhaps included in overall price is warm water or some basic tea, because this is a crucial necessity on such hike and it costs 20€ per day extra, so even if basic price is higher i would find it personally as nicer experience to have this unlimited ;) All the rest was included in the price and was well managed and provided. We received small fruits each dinner as a vitamin boost which I found great tiny detail. From base camp to summit it takes 2 days with overnight stay at high camp. Here we got under care of climbing guide. We checked the weather and it seemed that it will get unreachable in 2 days so they were even flexible enough to accommodate plan change and skip acclimatisation (just because we were a week ago at 5500, so considered safe) and only thanks to this decision we indeed reached the top 1.5 day later. Later on, people were not successful anymore due to strong winds. Our climbing guide was greatly supportive all along, kept checking our altitude sickness symptoms and was a good moral boost. Everything went smoothly until the end, we felt safe and comfortable. I appreciate all small to big efforts from this team and I wish you all great success and many happy clients. Thank you :)

Mera peak trek was such a versitale route with jungle/forrest, rivers and mountains, great planning from company to go first around to keep ascending low so all could get used to high altitudes and make it to high camp at 5800m! Good fitness level needed for the trek, lots of uphill and downhill. Slowly, slowly and all goes well. Guides Uttar and Pasang were knowledgeable and were able to adapt to our needs on the way. Porters Sukhaman, Ganesh and Budaloo also very helping and came back after taking big bags to night place if we required additional help with bags ect. (e.g. I was sick with stomach bug few days when starting trip so help with my backpack was much appreciated to acgually go with group!). Guides and porters both became very important part of our group and trip adding to the fun and experience. At the end made it all the way to summit at 6476m, big thank you for it to climbing guides, especially LB with me! Could not have made it without his support!! Use of climbing boots, crampons and ropes totally new experience, good teaching for them the day before and got to make sure to get the right fit, good help offered. Overall great trek, good planning and amazing memories to last a lifetime! Bonus on this trek the versitely food options on tea houses, lots of good choices from local dishes to western foods to find what ever you feel like eating on that day in that altitude, did not go hungry! Thank you for all!

I recently completed an unforgettable expedition to Mera peak with Himmalayan Trekking Path and I am happy to share my experience. Overall, the trip was well organized with great service before and during the trek, making it clear this company prioritize their client's comfort and satisfaction. Before the expedition, communication was seamless and the company provided preparation guidance and ensured we had all the necessary equipment, whatever was missing they either provided or provided guidance to where to get it. Though there was a small hiccup at pick up the team quickly apologized and made up for it with a local hike and a warm invite to Ram’s home for a homemade lassi and dhal bhat, a thoughtful gesture that set a welcoming tone. On the trail, Dendi was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive (he already climbed 3 times Mera peak this season), and added to the journey by naming mountain peaks, pointing out wildlife and sharing insights about the local flora even picking up wild fruits along the way. On the summit push; 2 guides supported us 2-people group, ensuring individual attention. We were glad the guides were carrying back-up oxygen in case of need. Dandi even provided hot water to help stay warm and provided me with his own gel when I started feeling weak and continuous mental support to push for the summit. In regards with accommodation and food; the lodges we stayed at were often among the best in the area, and we could order whatever we wanted from the menu which we heard wasn't the case with every other company. Big up to the chicken burger in Kote. We were also provided with hot drinks at each proper break. After returning to Kathmandu we were treated to a celebratory dinner at a French restaurant which was a nice touch as we are French. Overall, Ram and Dendi showed incredible attention to our needs and asks and always did their best to accommodate us so that our trip could be a great and memorable experience. Many pictures of the trip were captured by Dandi which was the cherry on the cake.

Thanks to Ram and his team we had a really wonderful time during our first time in Nepal. Dendi was the best guide, companion and photographer and we had a lot of fun with him. He was able to change the itinerary after we did the Manaslu Circuit and we were acclimatised so we could climb the Mera peak summit in 7 days through Zatrwa La Pass and then we could hike in addition to Namche Bizaar. Big thanks also to our porters which did the hardest work and were smiling every time. We are looking forward to the next Gorkha Strong adventure. CZ + NZ E/P/M/V

I've done Mera peak Summit in Oct 24. The arrangements were excellent and had superior personal touch. Especially Ram has helped in all aspects. The Sherpa (climbing guide) Tenba, Rohit (Guide/Porter) and Monbir (porter) were all good. The arrangements for tea house, trip guide, schedule adjustments and adaptability to my slow speed were the highlight of the trip. Always approachable and highly recommended team. highly friendly and even took extra care by providing fruits, dry fruit and other facilities on time.

My trip with himalayan trekking path was really nice. I enjoyed every day of my trip. I did a trip of approximately 14 days for the Mera peak climbing. At the beginning of this year I planned to do a trip that will have 3 purposes: I wanted to see the Himalaya mountains, to climb a peak over 6000 and to visit a new country, were I have never been before. So, I decided for Nepal. And after I contacted Icicles Adventures in July, on 9th of October I was landing on Tribuvahn airport in Kathmandu. What I can say? I made the best decision. :) The trek was perfect, I got to see some extraordinary rural little villages on the way, travel through a magnificent rhododendhron forest, I climbed Mera peak, 6461 m and I visited Kathmandu! The trip was perfect organized and managed by Icicles, I had a very good guide, a good professional, with deep human qualities, empathy, humor, calm, but also a good decision maker. All the 14 day on the mountain, together with such a wonderful team and the beautiful experiences we lived together, made me leave Lukla airport and say good bye to our porter, in tears. And the guide surprised me in the airport, in such a wonderful way, giving me a t-shirt with Mera peak as a birthday present, since my birthday was on one day we were on the trek! The stay in Kathmandu, it was surprising for me, as the town is one of the most crowded I have ever seen but, as everywhere I was in Nepal, the people were helpful, smiling and very kind. The hotel - Kathmandu Suite Home, was very nice, comfortable, in the middle of the city, and the restaurant had extraordinary good food:). I give my hugs and kisses and thanks to the team of Icicles Adventure - Hari, Prakash, Shiva - they all made my journey wonderful and my first Nepal experience unforgettable and I am looking forward for our next adventure together! :)

Coming from someone that travels the world and deals with many tour operators, I must say, Icicles Adventures Trek & Tours has raised the bar in terms of service and execution. Planning my trek/climb was easy and swift, they made sure everything I need is covered and catered to. Email communication was always professional, clear and detailed, and prompt. They assigned the ideal Sherpa guide for my adventure- speaks fluent English, excellent climbing skills, flushed with knowledge about the mountains and is always in a positive mood! If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have reached the top of Mera peak and become the 1st to ascent the mountain in 2017! Their extraordinary service extends beyond that. I picked up an injury during my descent and had trouble trekking and in no time, they chased my insurance company, arranged for a rescue helicopter, checked me in a hospital, kept me company till I was discharged and checked me in to my hotel. I NEVER felt alone! All in all, it was a memorable experience. I see Indira, Hari and Kipa not as my travel consultants but rather as family. I am still in touch with them and without a shadow of a doubt, I am returning to Nepal through them! Ali

An unforgettable trip that was incredibly well organised from start to finish. Dil was always on hand for help when we needed it, but the stand out heroes were Dik Rai (Guide) & Mane (Porter). Mane is the strongest man I’ve ever met and was incredibly helpful. Dik Rai was funny, kind, informative and professional. Especially compared to other guides who we saw on the same route, Dik Rai stood out as being excellent. The trip itself was very manageable, the altitude on day 2 going through the Zatar La pass is tough (4700m), as is high camp at 5900m, so make sure you’re prepared for that, or maybe factor in an additional day for sleeping at Base Camp before High Camp? It seemed everyone else was doing EBC, so went left at Lukla, Mera peak takes you right and the path is much quieter and less touristy. No monasteries, no big towns or villages, but an experience that felt authentic and both challenging but fun. We left on 26th September but it seemed like rainy season was a little later this year so had more rain than expected and a complete whiteout at the summit. Wouldn’t change anything about the trip at all though. Our climbing guides Phur Gyaje & Tsiring were also great, super prepared and made things very comfortable. Loads of summit experience and just very friendly people. We would 100% recommend Mera peak, but more importantly, would recommend Alpine Rambles as a great company to use. Looking forward to booking again in the future. A couple of important watch outs: - Getting the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is not as simple as it’s made out so be aware of that, we paid an extra $600 per person for a helicopter there. It’s also pretty stressful and we lost a day at the start due to the difficulties leaving on a plane, then panicked at whether or not we’d make it back. So make sure you leave plenty of time at the end of your trip for getting back from Lukla, maybe even 4 days. - Booking for the 3 of us only included 1 porter. We packed as lightly as possible, but for those bringing their own double boots, ice axe etc. or just more things, you’ll have to pay extra for additional porters. - Factor in spend of 3000 Rupees a day on the mountain + tips + hire of equipment like boots & crampons ($50)

To put it simply, Alpine Ramble is a masterfully run organization that produces nothing but excellent results. I had a goal of not only climbing Mera peak but bringing skies up it and shredding down. Dil, Dika, and the rest of the crew at AR stopped at nothing to make my goals come true. I even had a somewhat limited time capacity where they were able to switch things around to accommodate my schedule. They often referred to me as brother, and not too become too sentimental, but I truly feel as though I was one. The Himalayas are an absolute slice of heaven so what better way to experience it then with a company that treats you as family? I fully and unequivocally recommend Alpine Ramble.
