Can’t thank Peter enough for making our experience seamless from start to finish. Took on climbing Kilimanjaro for my 30th Birthday. Route: Machame. 5 nights, 6 days. Twende Safaris helped me plan the trip, and was very attentive to my needs and requests and questions. We had an wonderful time climbing Kilimanjaro with Twende Africa. Peter was extremely helpful and it was very easy to book and organize our trip online from the USA. When we arrived in Tanaznia we were picked up at the airport and briefed before starting our climb the next day. Our guides, porters and cook were all amazing and made the climb excellent fun. Not just a great hike, but also a cultural experience with amazing food! We finished our climb a day early and Peter took as on a free city tour in Moshi on our extra day. My trekking experience to Kilimanjaro as solo girl traveler was extraordinary thanks To Twende Tours... I felt really comfortable and in friendly atmosphere with all team: guide,porters and cook. Peter, thé guide, is passionnated in climbing and he knows every route and all about this amazing mountain. I highly recommend this company wether you are solo, duo or family traveller. They made my travel unic and I even learn lot or Swahili language with them. Pole Pole, Hakuna Matata, they challenged me and I got the peak even with some headhache and asthma 🙏🙏🙏. Myself, my daughter, and a close friend climbed Kilimanjaro with Peter and Rashidi as our guides we give them 5+ Stars for their knowledge as guides and their friendly way of taking care of our needs. Peter speaks good English and communication was easy with him. If it wasn’t for Peter helping carry my friends pack on summit night my friend would not have made it to the top. Peter also arranged a safari for us after the hike to Tangeri and Ngorongoro national parks that were exceptional - the accommodations were amazing. Highly recommend him. You can waste so much time trying to find the right people for your trip to Tanzania - and there probably are other good companies out there, but you will not find any better person to deal with than Peter.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience throughout the climb. Our guides, Peter and Godlisten were extremely helpful and we really enjoyed spending time getting to know them! They made sure we had all the gear needed and were comfortable as can be. The climb itself was very difficult, especially since we only had 5 days, but it was worth the effort. Kilimanjaro was beautiful and it was cool to go through different climate zones. Our guides were also very knowledgeable and excited to share information about the mountain and the species in the area. You could easily tell how passionate they were about Tanzania and Kilimanjaro itself. We came back early since I experienced altitude sickness but it was still one of the coolest things I've done. I would definitely recommend them for anyone considering climbing Kilimanjaro. You won't be disappointed!

I can't say enough about how supportive Peter and his team were on my journey to Uhuru peak. I definitely recommend booking with Peter and his team if you plan to trek Kilimanjaro. They were knowledgeable, kind, and very attentive at every step of the climb. I would not have made it to the summit without their support. If you do plan to book the trek, make sure tip is discussed beforehand as it can be a bit pricey, especially for smaller groups. If you are able to book far enough in advance to join a group, splitting tip will be easier. It was an unforgettable journey & experience - many thanks to Twende & Peter for making it possible!

Climbing Kilimanjaro with Twende Africa Tours has been one of the best experiences in my life. Peter and his team did their best to get us to the top of Africa. My boyfriend and I enjoyed every single day of this trip. Food was great and perfectly selected to get the right energy. We had a wonderful time in Africa! Hotels were very nice, as well as the staff. Every staff member, guides and porters always had a smile on their face. When we stopped everything was quickly set up for us to rest and eat. We even has a toilet tent which was a very good investment! Climb was awesome, we made it up in 6 days and down in 2. My two friends and I had an amazing time climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with Kili Trips! This was a 7-days trip on Machame route. Dismas and his team were very professional, always in a good mood, and provided an excellent service. They know everything about that mountain and they made sure that all of us were safe at all time. Food was excellent and tents were very confortable. They made our visit to Mt Kilimanjaro very special and the favorite part of our Tanzanian experience. First of all I want to say a hugeee thank you to Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris for helping me achieve a life long dream. ok now that I've gotten that out of the way, I would like to tell you why they are the best company. Abe and the team were just amazing. the whole booking process was so seamless. Abe was very responsive to all the million questions I had. it became very obvious to me that it wasn't about the money but He genuinely just loves what he does. I remember asking him how much it would cost for some additional requests I was trying to make and he said to me " Listen you don't need all that extra stuff what you have now is enough." I appreciated his honesty and I knew i made the right decision to go with the company cuz most people would look at it as a way to make extra money and recommend a whole bunch of things you don't need.They treated us like we were family. the tour guides and the porters were just amazing and professional. they were always encouraging and motivating us. While we were on the mountain, our power banks ran out of Juice and Abe found a way to get someone to bring us powerbanks. when we got done, they had a whole celebratory event for us. They had already been with us for 8 days and I'm sure they were ready to go back home to be with their families but they spent the whole day with us just celebrating our achievements and that meant everything to us. If you are ever looking for a company to plan your Kilimanjaro climb this is the company to go with. They go above and beyond for you and you won't regret it PS. the porters work very hard to make life easy for you. pls if you have extra money to give, don't hesitate to give them and be very kind to them.

I’ll start by saying I cannot give a better review for Abe and his company! My friend and I booked our Kilimanjaro climb and safari through Exuberant, and from the beginning, even in the earliest stages of planning, Abe was phenomenal! So attentive, helpful, reassuring; he answered all questions we had and helped us prepare as much as he could. Once arriving in Tanzania, the customer service only improved. Everything we could possibly need was taken care of and we felt extremely safe with our crew while on the mountain. Abe even started a group chat with our families to update them along the way since we didn’t have service. Last minute changes to our plans, such as skipping a day on the mountain and deciding to start our safari a day early, were met with ease, and Abe was changing those plans within minutes of us asking. He even booked our flights and hotel to Zanzibar for us, set up our driver to and from the airport in Zanzibar, and stayed available for us while we were on the island. This was not something he needed to do, as our time in Zanzibar was an independent part of the trip and not booked through his company, but it made us feel very safe and well-cared for that we had a point of contact in case we needed help with something. It can be hard to plan for a trip like this. There are so many companies to go with and it’s difficult to discern which is better than the other. I wholeheartedly recommend Exuberant Kilimanjaro. Not only did we love all of our porters and guides, but they all love him and speak very highly of him, which I think speaks volumes to the type of outfitter he is. And, it’s a local company, so you’re giving right to the community which is an added bonus! I’m so thankful for our experience in Tanzania and with Exuberant, we had an incredible time!

We climbed Kilimanjaro as a couple following the Lemosho Route in 6 days in June 2022. We chose Exuberant Kilimanjaro because it's a small, local company, specialized in Kilimanjaro trekking. From the beginning, we had a very positive experience with Abe Moshi, answering all our questions and giving all the information we needed. Our crew counted 11 people. Every one of them was welcoming and supportive. Attention was paid to every detail. Outstanding 3 course meals were served 3 times a day. We received excellent support from our guide, with medical check ups and briefings every day. All by all, it was a challenging but unbelievable experience. We highly recommend this company.

What an amazing experience. We did Kilimanjaro. It was very important for us to book with a local company that puts safety first. That's why we choose Exuberant. The trip was truely wonderful. Even though I couldn't summit it was an unforgettable experience. The Lemosho route is SO stunning. The pictures speak for themselves. Exuberant can provide special dietary needs. They made everything vegan for us, it was really delicious and much better than we expected. Abe, the organiser, really went above and beyond with his service. He drove us everywhere we needed and made sure we were well prepared. I had a medical issue which made me doubt if I was fit to climb so he took me to a clinic to get me checked by a doctor. On the mountain we had medical check ups (blood oxygen and heart pulse) twice a day. The summit day my guide decided for me that my blood oxygen was too dangerously low so I had to go back when I was at 5200m. Even though I was very dissapointed I'm happy he made that decision. I would have probably pushed through and maybe some other guides would have allowed me to continue. Obviously summiting is never worth risking your life. Hope you all have a great adventure.

Absolutely amazing once in life time experience. Abe and his team were amazing. Everything was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. We climbed Kilimanjaro via the machame route and can't thank the porters and guides enough for looking after us. Everyone was a pleasure to be about and our guides Don and Jackson were amazing. After the hike we booked a 3 day safari through. We saw amazing wildlife and had a fantastic time. Once again abe had sorted everything and communication was great. On the final day we went to a Masai village and hot springs. It was such a good experience for the last day. Everything was booked through Exuberant Kilimanjaro safaris and I can't recommend them highly enough. Massive thank you to Abe and his team. We'll definitely be back.

I cannot recommend Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris enough! Abraham is an excellent coordinator and guide, and he made the whole process extremely easy and enjoyable for me and my group. So much so that we ended up going on several excursions with him and his team, from a coffee tour, to hot springs, to the ubiquitous Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire safari. Abraham is a very knowledgeable, charismatic, and well connected man, which provides a value unto itself that is above and beyond anything you can get as a “package deal” from other companies. It was a large part of what led us to book with him multiple times. He made it a point to involve us in the trips at a level that was more than that of simple tourists. His level of connection in the community would often open back doors for us, providing a truly unique and authentic experience. On one occasion in particular, I remember him helping me find and get a good deal on some oil paintings from a local artist that I cherish to this day. His kindness and hospitality left a lasting impression on us, and I fondly remember first meeting him at a local bar where he and a friend of mine performed some magic tricks together. As an entrepreneur, you can be at ease knowing that when you book with Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris, you're interacting with a guy who knows his stuff and not a large corporation with loopholes and red tape. The prices are fair, you'll know what you're doing and who with, and Abraham makes the whole process very smooth. Everything from transportation, itinerary, sleeping and eating arrangements are taken care of. On our Safari trip, we were taken care of by a chef on his team that would often serve a delicious dinner with an amicable story about the origin of the dish, often with family roots. The driver was likewise knowledgeable, skilled, and very friendly. I could go on, but this would turn into a much longer review. There are plenty of trips you can book, from very reasonably priced day trips to hot springs, to a full summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. As we were there in the rainy season, my group and I were unable to climb Kili due to heavy snow, but you can bet we'll be back in the future to have Abraham take us up the mountain. If you value expedience, authenticity, and hospitality, you can't go wrong with this company. Cannot recommend enough!

I chose Exuberant Kilimanjaro following recommendations from other travellers I met in a hostel because I really wanted to support a local agency and I could not have been happier with that choice! I decided to take the challenge last minute and they managed to arrange everything overnight! From start to finish, I received excellent customer service from Abe and the agency. They helped me get to Moshi from Arusha, arranged my accommodation before the start of the adventure, helped me to acquire all of the needed gear from a rent shop (I was very happy with the quality of the gear too with brands like The North Face etc which contributed to a successful and comfortable climb), and even arranged for me to get a pCR test in time before driving me to the airport after the climb so that I could return to my home country safely. My guide, Mark, and the rest of the team were very attentive to my needs throughout the whole journey. I had not planned nor prepared myself before the trek so I feel very grateful, pleasantly surprised, and highly accomplished for having summited to the highest peak of Kilimanjaro! I do not believe that I could have made it without the continuous support of the whole team - from the bottom of my heart: Thank you all. I was lucky enough to spend time with Abe, the founder and director of Exuberant Kilimanjaro. A dedicated, thoughtful, intelligent, trustworthy and switched on up-and-coming local Tanzanian tour operator. Highly recommended! I arrived in Moshi and visited a dozen+ offices to find the best one to climb Kili (as a solo female traveller). My criteria: 1) good price with a local company 2) an experienced mountain guide receiving fair wages 3) safety, as it was my first hike at altitude. Abe stood out from the other operators, he ticked all those boxes .. and went so much further, on and off the mountain. It's clear he is passionate about sharing his country Tanzania, and creating a personal and genuine experience. We spent three days together in Moshi. Abe checked my gear, explained the oximeter, and invited me along to see Moshi Mountain Rescue Centre. Everywhere, people knew and respected him. A great sign. Abe even recommended a salon to braid my long hair (My top tip: lots of female trekkers later asked where I did it!) Hiking Kili (6 days / 5 nights via the Lemosho route) was challenging and rewarding. I credit making the summit to the care and dedication of my wonderful mountain guide Josian - he was there every step of the way. We made it to Uhuru Peak together in -20 C windchill, on a day that I saw many others turn back. What a moment. On summit night, the trust and rapport with your guide will come into its own. Josian's experience, generosity, care and focus in glacial conditions, was remarkable. Afterwards, in freezing wind, Josian guided me to walk down again, fast and safely to our basecamp. The greatest reward of Kili, like anything in life, wasn't reaching the summit. It was the friendship, respect, and everything I learned from Abe, and Josian and his great wife and family. If you are comparing tour operators, take the time to give Abe a call. He speaks the best English of anyone I met in Moshi, and will address any questions you have with care and attention. You know what makes climbing Kilimanjaro an amazing lifetime experience? Climbing it with the team at Exhuberant Kilimanjaro! The great experience started with Abe Moshi, providing detailed and useful information on every possible question I had. The entire experience, from planning to executing it has been incredibly positive. The level of service Abe and his team provide is simply unbelievable. The level of care, support and attention to detail is incredible. Their team members are wonderful human beings, you can tell they’re happy to be there and well looked after. I still don’t understand how they were able to carry everything so easily and cook delicious and nutritious meals at that altitude, these guys are real wizards. I’ve also been able to compare the level of service with other companies as I’ve spoken to other climbers on the way up and I’m so glad I’ve booked with Exhuberant, their level of service is second to none. I’ve booked the Lemosho route over 7 days with them and joined a group of 3 other climbers. We felt so good at altitude that we did it in 6 days but don’t be fooled, the mountain will decide if you make it or not, you need to remain humble, better to take a bit longer to acclimatize. I’ve then done a 4-day Safari with them over the Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti parks, it was simply breathtaking. The fauna and flora I’ve seen was incredible. Words cannot describe how amazing and wonderful Abe's company/team is. From the start to the end, the entire process was so smooth and comfortable - as someone who isn't a big trip planner, this trip was such a non-planner proof trip. ✨ Abe answered all my questions so promptly and thoughtfully which is why I chose Abe's company. I spent most of my non-mountain days with Andrew who drove me around town (Chagga village + Maasai village visits), and I honestly learned so much about the country, culture, and people through my conversations with Andrew & loved every second of it. For climbing Kili, I opened up a group for an 8-day Lemosho route, and three lovely med students joined my group. We had four guides and a wonderful group of porters. It's an understatement how well they take care of you! I've never felt so spoiled in my life. I started my adventure in Tanzania with Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris with the summit of Mount Meru. Straight after I headed on to hike the Machame route on the Kilimanjaro! Both treks have been amazing. I signed up for a group climb and Abe arranged all that was necessary, from gear check and hotel booking to extra day trips after the climb. From beginning to the end during the climb (and the descent) the crew was highly professional and took care of all of our wants and needs, first and foremost our safety. After descending I had two days left and they arranged some daytrips around town, swimming in natural springs and doing a coffeetour. I have had a wonderful once in a lifetime experience! My friend and i climbed the Kilimanjaro via Marangu way in 6 days and 5 nights! We have been very satisfied with the service proposed by Abe and the Exuberant Kilimanjaro team before, during and after the trek. Before the trek they answered to all our issues and briefed us on appropriate manner. During the trek all the crew was kind, safe and professional. We highly recommend to plan your trek with Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris. We also had an extra day and spent it on a Masai village tour, definately an amazing experience!!!

I can not recommend Exuberant Kilimanjaro enough. I did 7 day machame (which i also recommend this route especially over the 6 day!) The entire process, to begin with, was super smooth, with reasonable price and excellent communication. Abe is extremely amazing with communication and answering any questions needed. The hotel we got put up in before and after the hike was also great! I am a solo trekker and created my own group climb where one other solo trekker joined. We were 2 trekkers, 2 guides and a big group of porters. Being on the mountain, talked to lots of other people with different companies and all I have to say is… im glad i chose exuberant and not another company, they do it best! You definitely want a company like that to take you up a mountain that high 👏 Our guides Don and Leo were fantastic. They are funny, fun, and supportive and they did everything they could to ensure we made it to the top. I did summit on March 18, 8:06am, I ended up getting some symptoms of altitude sickness during summit night, I puked many times. Our group split up, but Leo and the Summit porter, Rasta, stayed with me and did everything they could to make sure I was feeling okay and could still make my dream come true. They linked arms with me, helped me put my mittens on when my fingers were frozen, gave me their water when mine froze, gave me tissues when I was sick, etc. Those are only a few things they did to ensure I was happy and comfortable. All of Exuberant's porters are also incredible. Shoutout to Innocent for meeting me at the end of almost everydays hike to carry my daypack and also for cleaning my shoes! and Peter for being such great company as our server in the mess tent. And to Adam, Rama, Nickas, Barack, Baracka Obama, Eddie, Innocent, Chebbydoo, Rasta and Peter. All so sweet and made our experience so fun. The food was also amazing, thanks to chebbydoo! We did the Lemosho route for Kilimanjaro and we couldn't have had a better experience! The guides were of very good quality and the rest of the staff did an excellent job. The guides accommodated our pace and always made sure we acclimatized properly. The route started in the jungle with many trees and monkeys in the trees. The second day the flora changed from jungle to shorter trees and eventually to just plants. By the third day, the plants were more desert-like and the 4,5, and 6 days were in the desert near the glaciers. On the seventh day we climbed to the top (we all reached the top before dawn) and that same day we descended the mountain (almost to the bottom). On the eighth day we reached the bottom and received our certificates. About the agency: Abe Moshi did an excellent job of accommodating everything in one day and ensuring that we did not lack anything, that we had the best tents and sleeping bags and that we had the appropriate clothing for the mountains. He took everything very seriously and made sure we were happy with the service all the time. He was a very good recipient of comments and that the agency continues to improve. We were able to trust him with our valuables and he definitely has the best English in the entire city. Regarding the trek, the meals they gave us were gourmet with four courses (appetizer, soup, main course and dessert). Both the chef and the waiter always made an effort to make sure we were happy, content and full. The rest of the staff, although they did not speak English or Spanish, always made an effort to give us the best service and make sure that we did not lack anything and that we had the best space in the camps. The guides were very well qualified, both had climbed more than 500 times to the summit and knew how people reacted to changes in altitude or when people could get tired and when to take breaks. The price was the most reasonable we found. I can't recommend enough how well they treated us! They definitely make us want to return to Tanzania and go on safari with them!

I booked my climb of Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route and a day safari in Tarangire NP with Abe from Exuberant. From the start I was impressed by the fast and good communication, everything was very trustworthy and professional. Abe answered every question extremely quickly and organized the whole trip very well. He responds to individual needs and you always feel like you are in good hands. Words cannot describe how amazing and wonderful Abe's company/team is. You know what makes climbing Kilimanjaro an amazing lifetime experience? Climbing it with the team at Exhuberant Kilimanjaro! The great experience started with Abe Moshi, providing detailed and useful information on every possible question I had. The entire experience, from planning to executing it has been incredibly positive. The level of service Abe and his team provide is simply unbelievable. The level of care, support and attention to detail is incredible. Their team members are wonderful human beings, you can tell they’re happy to be there and well looked after. I still don’t understand how they were able to carry everything so easily and cook delicious and nutritious meals at that altitude, these guys are real wizards. I’ve also been able to compare the level of service with other companies as I’ve spoken to other climbers on the way up and I’m so glad I’ve booked with Exhuberant, their level of service is second to none. I’ve booked the Lemosho route over 7 days with them and joined a group of 3 other climbers. We felt so good at altitude that we did it in 6 days but don’t be fooled, the mountain will decide if you make it or not, you need to remain humble, better to take a bit longer to acclimatize. I’ve then done a 4-day Safari with them over the Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti parks, it was simply breathtaking. The fauna and flora I’ve seen was incredible. Fantastic tour company for our climb up Kilimanjaro. We never needed for anything from the time we got off the airplane to the day we were driven back to our outbound flights. Abe Moshi is always available and responds immediately to any texts/phone calls for questions or requests. Our guides were phenomenal!! The guides were incredibly conscientious about safety, gear and all details. Besides knowing the hike, they can adjust and predict all issues with your gear before you know it's necessary. They communicate with you constantly, keep you motivated and are just great people to talk to and learn from. The porters cater to your every need during the entire trek. Our tents were always squared away when we arrived to camp, we were served coffee in the morning at our tents, meals were huge and delicious and ANYTHING we needed was provided. All 5 of us summited successfully and it felt amazing. I can't say enough about how great this company is with attention to detail, kindness and expertise. In addition to the hike, Abe made sure we got tours of the markets and shopping if we wanted. The items we saw were great and not the typical souvenirs (I was able to buy natural sea salt harvested locally). I wanted to buy some tanzanite before I left and Abe Moshi made it happen. I'm coming back with my non-hiking husband for a safari and it's going to be with Exuberant.

I can not recommend Exuberant Kilimanjaro enough. I did 7 day machame. The entire process, to begin with, was super smooth, with reasonable price and excellent communication. Abe is extremely amazing with communication and answering any questions needed. The hotel we got put up in before and after the hike was also great! I am a solo trekker and created my own group climb where one other solo trekker joined. We were 2 trekkers, 2 guides and a big group of porters. Our guides Don and Leo were fantastic. They are funny, fun, and supportive and they did everything they could to ensure we made it to the top. I did summit on March 18, 8:06am, I ended up getting some symptoms of altitude sickness during summit night, I puked many times. Our group split up, but Leo and the Summit porter, Rasta, stayed with me and did everything they could to make sure I was feeling okay and could still make my dream come true. They linked arms with me, helped me put my mittens on when my fingers were frozen, gave me their water when mine froze, gave me tissues when I was sick, etc. Those are only a few things they did to ensure I was happy and comfortable. All of Exuberant's porters are also incredible. Shoutout to Innocent for meeting me at the end of almost everydays hike to carry my daypack and also for cleaning my shoes! and Peter for being such great company as our server in the mess tent. And to Adam, Rama, Nickas, Barack, Baracka Obama, Eddie, Innocent, Chebbydoo, Rasta and Peter. All so sweet and made our experience so fun. The food was also amazing, thanks to chebbydoo! Exuberant will also make sure you have all the proper gear and the best sleeping bags and tents possible!!! I had so much fun that I want to climb again now. THANK YOU Exuberant!!!

I would highly recommend this company if you are planning on climbing Kilimanjaro or want to go on a Safari. During the planning phase, Abe (owner) was always very quick to answer any of my questions and that’s with an 8 hour time difference. During the climb of Kilimanjiro, their service was outstanding! The payed very close attention to our health by conducting health checks twice a day. The Guides and Porters were awesome! They tended to our every need to the smallest detail. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is certainly an adventure, and we had a great experience with the Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris team. The Machame route is known for its scenic views and challenging terrain, and it's great that we were able to make it to the summit in just five days. It's important to have a well-planned and organized trip when climbing a mountain, as it can be physically and mentally demanding. We felt supported every step of the way. Having a good support team can make a big difference in your experience, both in terms of safety and morale. And the fact that we were able to enjoy pancakes and french fries at such a high altitude as 4600 m is, is really impressive, it definitely add to the unique experience of climbing Uhuru. It's a great achievement and a memory we will carry for a lifetime. 😀

The guides were extremely patient with the vision to get us to Uhuru Peak. They motivated us and did everything keep us determined to make sure that reality came true. On arriving back after a successful summit, we celebrated a night out as a TEAM and got to experience the authentic nightlife in Moshi, all the while being safe and well taken care of. The safari was yet another experience of natural wonders, which words cannot describe - we had an amazing driver and guide, a fantastic cook, and fulfilled all our hopes of seeing every creature and animal that we wanted to on the plains of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. And finally Abe helped facilitate a last-minute trip to Zanzibar to celebrate New Years on the island before my flight back to the States. I’ll start by saying I cannot give a better review for Abe and his company! My friend and I booked our Kilimanjaro climb and safari through Exuberant, and from the beginning, even in the earliest stages of planning, Abe was phenomenal! So attentive, helpful, reassuring; he answered all questions we had and helped us prepare as much as he could. Once arriving in Tanzania, the customer service only improved. Everything we could possibly need was taken care of and we felt extremely safe with our crew while on the mountain. Abe even started a group chat with our families to update them along the way since we didn’t have service. Last minute changes to our plans, such as skipping a day on the mountain and deciding to start our safari a day early, were met with ease, and Abe was changing those plans within minutes of us asking. He even booked our flights and hotel to Zanzibar for us, set up our driver to and from the airport in Zanzibar, and stayed available for us while we were on the island. This was not something he needed to do, as our time in Zanzibar was an independent part of the trip and not booked through his company, but it made us feel very safe and well-cared for that we had a point of contact in case we needed help with something. It can be hard to plan for a trip like this. There are so many companies to go with and it’s difficult to discern which is better than the other. I wholeheartedly recommend Exuberant Kilimanjaro. Not only did we love all of our porters and guides, but they all love him and speak very highly of him, which I think speaks volumes to the type of outfitter he is. And, it’s a local company, so you’re giving right to the community which is an added bonus! I’m so thankful for our experience in Tanzania and with Exuberant, we had an incredible time!

We climbed Kilimanjaro as a couple following the Lemosho Route in 6 days in June 2022. We chose Exuberant Kilimanjaro because it's a small, local company, specialized in Kilimanjaro trekking. From the beginning, we had a very positive experience with Abe Moshi, answering all our questions and giving all the information we needed. Our crew counted 11 people. Every one of them was welcoming and supportive. Attention was paid to every detail. Outstanding 3 course meals were served 3 times a day. We received excellent support from our guide, with medical check ups and briefings every day. All by all, it was a challenging but unbelievable experience. We highly recommend this company.

I chose Exuberant Kilimanjaro following recommendations from other travellers I met in a hostel because I really wanted to support a local agency and I could not have been happier with that choice! I decided to take the challenge last minute and they managed to arrange everything overnight! 
From start to finish, I received excellent customer service from Abe and the agency. They helped me get to Moshi from Arusha, arranged my accommodation before the start of the adventure, helped me to acquire all of the needed gear from a rent shop (I was very happy with the quality of the gear too with brands like The North Face etc which contributed to a successful and comfortable climb), and even arranged for me to get a pCR test in time before driving me to the airport after the climb so that I could return to my home country safely. My guide, Mark, and the rest of the team were very attentive to my needs throughout the whole journey. I had not planned nor prepared myself before the trek so I feel very grateful, pleasantly surprised, and highly accomplished for having summited to the highest peak of Kilimanjaro! We climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in August, 2021, which was not only exciting, but truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. While I prepared as best as I could (e.g.;  strength and conditioning; right gear; and other research), the COVID situation added quite a bit extra to the equation. However, the Exuberant Kilimanjaro team was incredibly helpful and  made planning and logistics incredibly smooth. Before the climb, Exuberant checked our gear to make sure that we were adequately prepared. The team also offered recommendations  were needed. In fact, Exuberant Kilimanjaro went out of their way to ensure that we were supremely prepared, providing options to supplement any missing or inadequate gear at a reasonable price. During the climb, our guides (Jackson and Martin) were more than helpful in directing us the entire time, until we reached the Uhuru peak. Of course, they also went out of their way to point out various plants, trees, and the occasional birds during our trek. Food was also superb, which is incredible in its own way considering the number of stops along the way and the rugged terrain. Overall, would highly recommend this agency. Also, Abe is an awesome host!

My friend and i climbed the Kilimanjaro via Marangu way in 6 days and 5 nights! We have been very satisfied with the service proposed by Abe and the Exuberant Kilimanjaro team before, during and after the trek. Before the trek they answered to all our issues and briefed us on appropriate manner. During the trek all the crew was kind, safe and professional. I cannot recommend Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris enough! Abraham is an excellent coordinator and guide, and he made the whole process extremely easy and enjoyable for me and my group. So much so that we ended up going on several excursions with him and his team, from a coffee tour, to hot springs, to the ubiquitous Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire safari. Abraham is a very knowledgeable, charismatic, and well connected man, which provides a value unto itself that is above and beyond anything you can get as a “package deal” from other companies. It was a large part of what led us to book with him multiple times. He made it a point to involve us in the trips at a level that was more than that of simple tourists. His level of connection in the community would often open back doors for us, providing a truly unique and authentic experience. On one occasion in particular, I remember him helping me find and get a good deal on some oil paintings from a local artist that I cherish to this day. His kindness and hospitality left a lasting impression on us, and I fondly remember first meeting him at a local bar where he and a friend of mine performed some magic tricks together. As an entrepreneur, you can be at ease knowing that when you book with Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris, you're interacting with a guy who knows his stuff and not a large corporation with loopholes and red tape. The prices are fair, you'll know what you're doing and who with, and Abraham makes the whole process very smooth. Everything from transportation, itinerary, sleeping and eating arrangements are taken care of. On our Safari trip, we were taken care of by a chef on his team that would often serve a delicious dinner with an amicable story about the origin of the dish, often with family roots. The driver was likewise knowledgeable, skilled, and very friendly. I could go on, but this would turn into a much longer review. There are plenty of trips you can book, from very reasonably priced day trips to hot springs, to a full summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. As we were there in the rainy season, my group and I were unable to climb Kili due to heavy snow, but you can bet we'll be back in the future to have Abraham take us up the mountain. If you value expedience, authenticity, and hospitality, you can't go wrong with this company. Cannot recommend enough!

We booked the 7 days Lemosho trek in Moshi with Abe who was very helpful as we hadn’t done much research in advance. Abe gave us all the information needed and also organised the gear that was still missing as we were about to start the trek the next day. The upcoming 7 days were better than expected. The two guides, Leo and Mark, were amazing, the food cooked on the trek exceeded our expectations and the whole crew was very friendly and helpful at every point of our trek. The summit day was pretty challenging but thanks to our patient guides my cousin and I both made it to the summit. Thanks to Abraham and the whole crew we had a great experience climbing the Kilimanjaro! We ended up booking another tour with Abraham as we were very satisfied with the great service on the trek. Definitely a company to recommend!!!

We had the most amazing time climbing Kilimanjaro with this company. Abe (the owner) is a super friendly, helpful and a refreshingly honest guy. He organised the tour for us and was professional the whole way through. Our guides were excellent and spoke great English. They made sure that we were happy and comfortable everyday. The food the chef cooks is unbelievable, no idea how he can cook this whilst your over 3000m and it’s raining outside. All the porters were lovely and always smiling when we were at the camp. It was just the two of us on the tour, so our tent had a table and chairs for us to eat at. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day climb and highly recommend this newly started company. AMAZING!!!

I had an extra day in Tanzania after climbing Kilimanjaro and I wanted to go on SOME kind of Safari so I took a day tour with Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris to Arusha National Park. What a great day! I had my own driver in a jeep going around the park explaining everything. The guide was great. He was able to stop and spot things I wouldn't have found on my own. Highly recommend!

Booked a 6 day Kilimanjaro climb with Abe in Moshi and couldn't have been happier about the experience! The company seemed highly professional and reliable and Abe even gave me specific information regarding climbing the mountain as an asthmatic. During the tour I was regularly checked up on by my guide, Michael, who was extremely nice and also very knowledgeable about the surrounding nature. The food and equipment, that I was provided with was outstanding and the entire team did their best to make the trip a once in a lifetime experience! we had an amazing time with Abe in Tanzania. He was the best guide ever! He was always on time, always funny and turned every trip to a great adventure. we did the hot spring tour, visited the waterfalls and went on a 6 days safari to the serengeti nationalpark. This June, I organized a group of 11 climbers to hike Mount Kilimanjaro with Alpenglow Expeditions. Our experience was phenomenal. From the moment we stepped foot on the trail, the guides and porters took care of us in a way that I’ve never experienced on a mountain. Our lead guide, Topo, was an absolute rock star. His mountaineering experience is second to none, but, more importantly, he immediately integrated into our group in a way that felt like we’d been friends for years. That made the experience all the more special. Before we started the hike, I developed a low grade fever and a cough. I thought I would get over it within the first few days, but it continuously got worse. After our first night at high camp (15,500 ft elevation) I was unable to walk unassisted and began coughing blood. When that happened, Topo and the guides took decisive action to get me off the mountain. They organized a helicopter evacuation to take me to the nearest hospital, sending Sylvester - a phenomenal local guide - with me to make sure I could navigate the hospital and get the care I needed. I don’t know what I would have done if Sylvester hadn’t been there with me. The helicopter dropped me off at the airstrip in Moshi, but there were no taxis or Ubers to be had. I also had all of my gear from the mountain, which I couldn’t carry by myself in that state. With the help of Florent, our main local logistics guide, Sylvester quickly organized a ride to the hospital, stayed there with me for about 8 hours, and helped me negotiate payment and services with the hospital providers. It turns out I had pneumonia and high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE), so they got me on oxygen and antibiotics. Once I was able to leave, Sylvester organized a ride back to our hotel in Arusha so I could get some rest. All told, it took about 12 hours from the time the helicopter arrived to the time we got to the hotel. I’ve traveled all over the world, worked my way out of some pretty precarious situations, but again, given the state I was in I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without Sylvester’s help. He was a phenomenal guide on the mountain - constantly encouraging me when I was struggling and doing everything he could to support, and he was incredibly calm and friendly under pressure. If you’re looking to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and you want to make sure you’re in the best hands, climb with Alpenglow, ask for Topo, ask for Sylvester, and ask for Florent. You won’t have a better, safer experience anywhere else!

My 17 year old son and I climbed Kilimanjaro with Alpenglow Expeditions in July 2022. Alpenglow went above and beyond what I was expecting! The logistics, food, and lodging were all exceptional. Our guide, Chad, was professional, supportive, and went to great lengths to make sure that everyone was as comfortable (as one can be at 19,000 ft.). My son’s luggage was lost on the flight from the US. The in-country team and Chad immediately made a great plan B. We rented gear for my son and then two days later porters ran up the mountain and delivered my son’s gear to him. It was a huge effort that we greatly appreciated! Having never climbed a mountain, nor slept outside, summiting Kilimanjaro seemed like a far fetched goal. However, WHOA was so reassuring and organized I hardly had to think. From the pre arrival packing lists and group text thread making sure no one forgot anything to getting there and meeting everyone at the airport it was flawless logistics and execution from day 1. I never felt unprepared, I was never unsure about what the plan was. Additionally, and I know this was by coincidence, the group of women I had the pleasure of spending almost 2 weeks with continues to text many many months later. Amazing, strong, encouraging, inspirational, kind travel companions. The WHOA gals and guides on the trail were remarkable. Everyone was compassionate, and phenomenal cheerleaders, but also funny and FUN to be with. The food we ate can’t be forgotten. I had no idea fried chicken, fries and watermelon would be an option up there, how amazing is that? Of my group of 16 we had 16 reach the top! That’s not a coincidence, that’s WHOA and their team pushing us and making sure we safely got there! Our climb of Mt Kilimanjaro with Wilderness Travel exceeded all expectations. The leaders of the climb were amazing and the team they put together was second to none. We will definitely look to use Wilderness Travel again on future trips and expeditions we take.

Wilderness Travel is definitely the way to go for climbing Kilimanjaro. Every aspect from pre-trip through the transport back to the airport post climb is smooth, efficient and expertly facilitated so all we had to do was focus on the goal: climbing that incredible mountain. The trip leader/guides and entire crew that make the climb possible are phenomenal- skilled, knowledgeable and just a joy to have this experience with. And the meals!!! Unbelievable.

I just returned from climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with Wilderness Travel. I completed the Northern Route which I feel gave our group the best chance of summiting successfully. Our entire group summited! This was my first experience climbing and Wilderness Travel EXCEEDED any expectations I had. They were truly attentive in our journey, health, safety and comfort. EVERY porter, guide, employee took the time to listen and responded to any questions in a timely manner. If I ever do another trip I will definitely choose Wilderness Travel.

Excellent communication throughout the whole process. Complex trip which included two different guides: Climb of Kilimanjaro and then a 5 day safari after. Can't begin to say how pleased I am with the entire trip. Excellent food and guides. Just a great experience. No regrets going with Wilderness Travel.

We did a 5 day Kilimanjaro climbing , everything was sorted out very good , very nice guides and great cooking , big up to the porters who did most of the work , like carrying all the stuff up the mountain ! If u go for climbing the Kilimanjaro don t take less then 6 days , at least u need one day to acclimate ! All in all a wonderful experience Greetings to Elisafi , John , Peter and all the stuff 🤗🌴🇹🇿

I went on a solo trip with Peter for a day trip on the Kilimanjaro. Peter gave a lot of explanations during the climb and adapted his speed to mine ! Lunch was excellent.

My Mount Meru Climb - September 2019 My most memorable or exciting part of your holiday: Just do it! It is an experience and if you like trekking it is absolutely fantastic. I would do it again. I was pleased to feel that my holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment: I am passionate about ethical issues and environmental responsibility. I was determined to organise the trip that benefited the local people and ensure that the guides and porters used are treated fairly and have adequate clothing, etc.... All this was in evidence when we trekked with our porters and guides. Seeing some of the other people trekking and their guides and porters you realised that their company was not as ethical! How I rate Exuberant Kilimanjaro Safaris Overall: Our overall trip was great. I would like to give it 5 stars but having done the trip without my wife I feel I cannot as I would have loved her to have experienced the trip as well....next time! Nevertheless, it was fantastic and excellent memories and would love to do it again - a different route maybe!

WARNING! This is the kind of tour operator that contributes to make traveling unsafe and all health precautions pointless. Let me start that I was offered a fake COVID certificate in case my PCR test came back positive, for a lot of money of course. Besides this "Exuberant Kilimanjaro" ruined my itinerary with shady practices: - I planned to start with the Kilimanjaro climb, safari, villages and Zanzibar like most people would logically do. It was agreed at the beginning but once I sent the first deposit, the tour operator decided to change my itinerary to his convenience - Started with the safari with 1 day Tarangire, 3 Serengeti and 1 Ngorongo, the operator switched to 1 day Tarangire, 2 Serengeti 1 Ngorongoro and 1 to another park that I had no interest in going - The Jeep used in the safari was old and broke down in Serengeti and was useless till Ngorongoro, safari was ruined - In order to "make up" for the damaged safari he arranged a "private" jeep to a park I was not interested and still charged premium for it - I had to insist so much for having the climb after the safari I give Exuberant Kilimanjaro 2 stars, just because the climb was awesome and the team was fantastic, besides this, run away for the hills
